Sedef Salel, MSc

Sedef Salel received her B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2020. She completed her M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2022 with her thesis “Development of Polymer-Lipid Hybrid Nanoparticles for Anticancer Drug Delivery”. Her research interests are polymer-lipid nanoparticles and drug delivery systems.

Elif Özlem Topal, MSc

Elif Özlem Topal received her B.Sc. degree from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Cumhuriyet University in 2011. She worked as an undergraduate researcher at the Acanthamoeba Karyotyping Research Center of the Faculty of Medicine at Cumhuriyet University during 2010-2011. She also worked as an undergraduate researcher at Istanbul University Aziz Sancar Experimental Medicine Institute for the genetic diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. She received her second B.Sc. degree from the Department of Physics at Middle East Technical University in 2019. She received her master's degree from Boğaziçi University, Department of Biomedical Engineering in 2023 with her thesis entitled "Synthesis and Characterization of Bovine Serum Albumin-Based Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery Applications". Her research areas are nanotechnology, nanobiomaterials, and nanoparticles.

Gizem Uysal, MSc

Gizem Uysal received her B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Yıldız Technical University in 2020. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in an internship on smart functional nanomotors. As part of her master's internship, she worked on magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications at Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research. She received her M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boğaziçi University in 2023, with a thesis title "Interaction of magnetic nanoparticles with polymersomes for use as multimodal nanocarriers".

İrem Sultan İlçi, MSc Student

Irem Sultan Ilci received her B.Sc. degree from Yildiz Technical University, Department of Bioengineering. In her senior year, she was involved in DxBiotech Lab through the TUBITAK-STAR project. Also, her project, titled “Shelf-Life Control of Pills with Smart Film Based on Color-Changing of Beta-carotene,” has been funded by TUBITAK-2209B. During her master’s education, she has been at the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology in Germany for an ERASMUS internship in behavioral neuroscience. She was a member of BiND Lab and completed her M.Sc. degree Biomedical Engineering, Boğaziçi University in  2025, with a thesis title "Dual encapsulation of gold nanorods and chemotherapy drugs into plga nanoparticles for combined cancer therapy". Her academic interests are biotechnology, drug delivery systems, and nanotechnology.

Emir Akgün, BSc Student

Emir Akgün received his B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering, Boğaziçi University in 2024. During his bachelor’s degree, he did an internship in a pharmaceutical company in production and research and development departments. His academic interests are nanotechnology, drug formulation, drug production, and chemical process optimization and modeling. He worked as a bachelor intern in the 2247-C TÜBİTAK STAR program of BIND Lab.

Ayşe Günsay, BSc Student

Ayşe Günsay is studying Chemical Engineering at Boğaziçi University. She spent a semester and the following summer working in the Microfluidics Laboratory at Boğaziçi University. She was an undergraduate intern at BIND Lab under the Neurotechnological Solutions Platform Against Challenges Threatening Human Function, supported by TÜBİTAK 1004.

Ekin Nehir Kuşcu, BSc Student

Ekin Nehir is Chemical Engineering student at Boğaziçi  University.  She involved in  IEEE Boğaziçi Electrotechnology Club(BUEC) and took the role of EMBS (Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society) director. She was a research intern at BIND Lab under the project titled "Development of Smart Nanocapsules for Combined and Targeted  Breast Cancer Therapy".

Miray Çelik, BSc Student

Miray Çelik is a Molecular Biology and Genetics student at Bogazici University. She joined in IEEE Boğaziçi Electrotechnology Club(BUEC) and took the role of SWES (Society of Women Engineers and Scientists) director.  After her work at BUEC-IEEE, she worked as an undergraduate research student at Kayıtmazer Research Group for 7 months. She was a research intern at BiNDLab under the TÜBİTAK 2247-C STAR program, worked on the project titled "Development of Multimodal Polymersomes for Image-Guided Drug Delivery Applications (MULTIPOLE)."

Esin Şen, BSc Student

Esin Şen is a Bioengineering student at Yıldız Technical University. She completed an internship at the Polymer Research Laboratory of Istanbul Technical University, and conducted voluntary research internships at the Boğaziçi University Biomimicry and Bioinspired Biomaterials Laboratory and Acıbadem LabCell. Additionally, she has contributed to projects within the Polymer Technologies Team, focusing on drug delivery systems, biomaterials, and tissue engineering. She was a research intern at BiNDLab under the TÜBİTAK 2247-C STAR program, worked on the project titled “Development of Multimodal Polymersomes for Image-Guided Drug Delivery Applications (MULTIPOLE).
