Our latest research on “Design of Biopolymer-Coated Gold Nanorods as Biorelevant Photothermal Agents,” has been published in Macromolecular Rapid Communications. Have a look if you are interested in!
- In this study, we have developed novel biopolymer-coated gold nanorods that significantly enhance biocompatibility of conventional gold nanorods while maintaining effective photothermal properties. This offers non-toxic and efficient biologically relevant photothermal agents for use in photothermal therapy.
- A key achievement of this work is maintaining the function and stability of gold nanorods while replacing toxic surfactants with natural materials. These in-house biorelevant nanorods will serve as light-driven theranostics and play an important role in advancing our ongoing Tübitak 2247D project.
