August 2022 – Gizem Uysal started an internship at Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research, Germany.

Congratulations to Gizem Uysal who has joined to Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF), Germany as an intern between 01.08.2022 and 28.10.2022.

During her internship, Gizem Uysal conducted research on “Encapsulation of Magnetic Nanoparticles into Polymersomes” as part of a collaborative project between BiND Lab and IPF.

Description: Gizem Uysal spent three months at the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF) as part of a collaborative project, where she worked on the synthesis and encapsulation of magnetic nanoparticles within polymersomes. The research aimed to develop new hybrid materials with enhanced properties for various applications in biomedicine. Gizem's work involved optimizing the synthesis process and characterizing the magnetic and structural properties of the resulting polymersomes using various analytical techniques. By combining the unique magnetic properties of the nanoparticles with the biocompatibility and stability of polymersomes, the research team hopes to create materials with novel properties and functionalities. The project demonstrates the importance of interdisciplinary collaborations in advancing the field of nanotechnology and developing innovative materials.
