Our group member Zeynep İrem Özcan attended the RSC Poster event organized through LinkedIn. She presented our recent work on targeted drug-delivery systems during this great experience.

"Design of Hyaluronic Acid Nanocapsules for pH-Responsive Doxorubicin Delivery"

Key highlights:

•  Successfully fabricated stable HA nanocapsules (~184 nm) with well-defined hollow morphology
• ️ Achieved high encapsulation efficiency (~87%) for doxorubicin
•  Demonstrated long-term colloidal stability (over 100 days)
•  Observed clear pH-responsive drug release behavior

- Limited release at physiological pH 7.4 
- Enhanced release at tumor-mimicking pH 6.5 

•  In vitro studies showed stronger cytotoxicity in MCF-7 breast cancer cells compared to healthy L929 fibroblast cells.
